Forty-seven students of Social Education from the University of Murcia visited on Wednesday, May 16, the building of La Milagrosa, headquarters of the Department of Social Services and Equality of the City of Cartagena.
The visit is carried out annually as part of the programming of the university degree in Social Education, with the aim that the students know one of the buildings with greater importance in the protection of childhood between the XVIII and XX centuries.
The university students were received by one of the coordinators of the council, to later guide them through the dependencies of the building.
The students also received a talk about the socio-educational stages through which the children interned in the Casa de Misericordia passed until the beginning of the 21st century, since the building of La Milagrosa originally housed the Casa de Misericordia.
