This Saturday, May 19, the residents of Cartagena have a date with fishing in Isla Plana.
Under the motto "Flat Island and Artisanal Fishing", the Local Association of Neighbors, in collaboration with the ADELA Association and the City of Cartagena, have scheduled a series of workshops and conferences whose main focus will be the world of fishing.
The first scheduled workshop, which will start at 12:30 am, is called "Sustainable Fish Purchase", at the end of it, all interested can attend the Gastronomic Workshop "Cooking with Melva".
The day will continue at 5:00 pm, at which time the conference "La Almadraba" will be held, a talk offered by Julio Mas Hernández, scientific and technical advisor of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography.
To end the event, the official chronicler of Cartagena, Luis Miguel Pérez Adán, will give the lecture "Musealization of the Santa Elena Tower of La Azohía and viewpoint in the auxiliary facilities of the fishing reserve of Cabo Tiñoso".
Both conferences will take place at the Isla Plana Neighborhood Association with free admission until full capacity is reached.
