Rafael San Eustaquio and Pepe Egea, responsible for the Senior Area of the United Left - Greens, will participate tomorrow, Tuesday, the 15th in a colloquium on the future of pensions organized by IU-Greens Cartagena.
The colloquium will take place from eight o'clock in the afternoon in the Assembly Hall of the Neighborhood Association of the Barrio de la Concepción (street Subida a Vergel 1).
Under the slogan "In defense of decent pensions", IU encourages citizens to attend this meeting because it considers that "the viability of pensions is not an economic issue but a political decision".
In addition, IU is convinced that the "priority" should not be to cut social spending, but to increase tax revenues, just the opposite of the measures promoted by the Government.
From the organization of the left in the port city state that "the PP has been blatantly lying about the unsustainability of pensions with the intention of leaving the public system in a residual way for the benefit of private plans, so it will have to continue the social mobilization to repeal the reforms of Zapatero and Rajoy that impoverish those who have contributed their entire lives and replace them with an agreement that guarantees in the articles of the Constitution decent pensions and the annual increase thereof according to the CPI ".
