The councilor of the MC Cartagena municipal group, Ricardo Segado, has explained the different amendments to the City Council Budgets for 2018 presented by the Cartagena-based training on Sports and Youth.

In this sense, the mayor has recalled the commitment of MC to have some municipal budgets close to reality and the demands of citizens.

In the same way, Segado pointed out that "in the years of José López's government we did this, obtaining sufficient political support to approve them in a timely manner, that is, what the weak and ineffective socialist executive is not doing".

To do this, they have raised a few worked Budgets and in the line marked by the participation and responsibility that requires to govern a large municipality like Cartagena.

Adaptation of the La Aljorra soccer field and the definitive opening of the Palacio de los Deportes

Influencing the proximity that so much missed the Cartagena, Ricardo Segado has ensured that "the councilors of MC committed to them and necessary projects" as the adaptation of the football field 'Luis Guarch' of La Aljorra that, after installation of the artificial turf on the football field 11, the

culmination of the work with the turf on the football field 5 and the improvement of lighting deficiencies.

"Undoubtedly, the young people, boys and girls of the EF Aljorra who practice their favorite sport in that field deserve it," the councilor said.

On the other hand, in sports, MC continues to bet on the definitive opening of the Palace of Sports, which "saw the light at the end of the long tunnel to which he was subjected and condemned by the terrible political management prior to our arrival at the local government ", Segado recalled.

Thus, after eleven years closed, the opening of the first phase of the installation began thanks to the coordinated effort of the different councils, thanks to what could be used, occasionally, the central track, while continuing to advance in the plan for its complete and definitive opening.

This estimate, has detailed the mayor of MC, "we made it following the conclusions of the municipal technicians, always using legal mechanisms so that the additional cost, estimated at just over four million euros, did not have to pay for it Cartagena "

In short, the proposal to continue with the opening of the Palace of Sports is 250,000 euros, in concept of commissioning and acquisition of equipment.

Bet on the UPCT Racing Team and the orchestras of young talents

Despite the economic difficulties of the City Council, due to its tremendous debt generated by the Barreiro government, MC managed to increase the amount of subsidies to sports clubs by around ten percent.

In this regard, Segado has lamented that "we still find talented young people who do not have the support of their city to carry out their projects."

Among them are the members of the UPCT Racing Team, a team that combines knowledge, technology and sports competition.

"They have a huge projection but they find themselves with a lack of help, we want the Consistory to continue with their support and increase it, as we did and we committed ourselves."

The UPCT Racing Team will carry the coat of arms of Cartagena in its competition vehicles and will show it wherever it goes, "which is a pride for all of us, comparable to the one we feel towards our culture and those who develop it".

Similarly, in the section of amendments on Youth, the councilor of MC has indicated that "our orchestras were born recently in order that the young musicians of Cartagena had a means to spread their skills, skills and knowledge."

In this case, as with the UPCT Racing Team, they currently lack the institutional support that the Cartagena training provided.

For this, MC proposes to allocate a total of 65,000 euros to our culture and the training of our young and talented musicians.

Initiatives by and for Cartagena

In conclusion, Ricardo Segado has affirmed that these proposals "that we make amendment for the lack of ideas of a Government that did not want to sit down to listen to those who do have them and in order to uncover masks and disguises".

Finally, he stressed that if the rest of the political groups want to hear the cries and petitions of the people of Cartagena, "they will support and approve these initiatives, which are not MC but for and for Cartagena."
