The Cartagena Rhythmic Club has been received by the Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, this Friday, May 11, at the Consistorial Palace.
The Cartagena club was proclaimed champion of the Spanish Championship of Aesthetic Gymnastics, which was held in Cartagena last April.
For this reason he will represent Spain in the World Championship that will host Budapest, next June.
The Cartagena gymnasts will travel to the Hungarian capital in all the categories of the world cup.
For this reason, in the meeting that took place this Friday, the mayor of Cartagena wanted to show all their support and wish them luck for the World Cup.
The City Council carries out a promotion of grassroots sport with 30 municipal schools, which house 1,200 basic gymnasts per year, distributed in the municipal facilities of the neighborhoods and districts of the municipality, with 54 classrooms.
Cartagena is a pioneer in the region and one of the pillars of this sport in Spain, so the city will be, for the third time, the host of the next World Championship.
