On May 22 from 16.00 to 21.00 hours, will be held in the Occupational Center of Canteras a Practical Course of Implementation of Hedges, which aims to train farmers in the installation of these shrubs as a measure of erosion control, improvement of soil quality and nitrate control, especially in the environment of the Natura 2000 Network, in response to the needs of the sector and environmental demands of the market.
The training will be divided into two blocks, which will combine theory and practice and will deal with aspects such as hedge design and implementation and their care.
On the other hand, free advice is given to farmers, which aims to support them and facilitate the implementation of sustainable practices in agriculture, focusing mainly on the promotion of biodiversity as a tool for the development of the activity, the fight against erosion, loss and degradation of the soil and the minimization of contaminants through the substitution of more efficient techniques.
The project is developed by ANSE within the framework of the Empleverde program of the Biodiversity Foundation, an entity under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, co-financed by the ESF, with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena through the Department of Industry, Tourism, Agriculture, Fishing, Rural Development and Litoral.
