The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, visited the afternoon of Thursday, May 10, the training of one of the schools Javi Matía of Cartagena Futsal.
Specifically, Castejón approached the school located in the Central Pavilion of Wssell Street in Guimbarda.
The mayor wanted to know the work they are doing with the boys to promote the sport as well as the social integration.
The mayor said he was very interested in the visit and there he could see that there is a football quarry in Cartagena, he also told them that the City is committed to them.
It is one of the ten sports schools that the Cartagena team develops in other municipal pavilions, with the collaboration of the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena.
The mayor wanted to know 'in situ' the work of the school, just before signing this Friday, May 11, an agreement with the representatives of the Futsa Cartagena club, which will aim to formalize the collaboration that the Department of Social Services and Social Mediation has been provided with the club.
This collaboration has been carried out since September 2017 to encourage the participation of 35 children in these sports schools, through scholarships from the La Caixa Foundation that provide them with the monthly payment and equipment.
