Two hundred and fifty people have signed up to volunteer on the Night of the Museums to be held on Saturday, May 19.
As in previous editions, this collaboration is framed within the Implica2 Program (Young People Committed in Cartagena), promoted by the Youth Council and aimed at promoting the social participation of young people in Cartagena.
On Wednesday, May 9, the first meeting was held with future volunteers who will opt for the sponsorship of singular pieces of the different museums, route guides, informative advice and logistical support in the various activities that will be carried out as long of that day.
The involvement of the volunteers in the Night of the Museums will have a maximum duration of 25 hours, and a minimum of 10 hours, included both in relation to the previous preparation and the own development of the activity.
Students who study at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) or the UNED Cartagena in the branch of History, may benefit from ECTS credits, performing their functions in spaces provided by each of the universities.
The volunteers have become a fundamental pillar so that the Night of the Museums of Cartagena is special, without whose help the dimension that this project has been acquiring throughout its ten editions would not have been possible.
