The Popular University (UP) of the City of Cartagena held on Wednesday, May 9 at the Consistorial Palace the closing of the Preparation Course for the test of access to the University for over 25 years, which was attended by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, the director of the UP, José Macián, the students enrolled who chose the test and the teachers, as well as the relatives and friends who wanted to join this event.

Councilman David Martinez in his speech congratulated the students for achieving their goal, the result of perseverance in the study, as well as the teachers for their professionalism and good work.

The closing of this course had a recognition of the entity to citizens who have decided to prepare to access the University of Murcia and the Polytechnic of Cartagena to continue their academic and professional training.

Of 32 students over 25 years old, who showed up to pass this test, they have approved a total of 29, which means an approval rate of 90.6%.

With these results, the Popular University continues one more year reaping successes and being an important reference in this field.

The mayor said that because of his profession, which is teaching, he knows that "when they get

results with such high percentages of approved, there is behind an excellent preparation team and some students who have firmly committed to the study. "

During the ceremony all students received their diploma accrediting the completion of the course and a memory of their participation in it.
