After several visits in recent days to various neighborhoods and councils of Cartagena, the municipal group CTSSP has been able to verify that numerous neighborhood demands that are considered urgent, are not addressed by the local government, and take months, even years, without any response .
In the deputation of the Azohía, the purple formation received yesterday the complaints of the president of the AVV and of its executive, on the requests that elevated in October of 2017 to the municipal government: repainting of steps of pedestrians, arrangement of road signs, installation of speed bumps to reduce speed, and something as important for them as organizing the passage of bikes and pedestrians on the seafront.
None of these demands have been met, not even answered, showing signs of a lack of respect towards the neighbors and neighbors of the coastal municipality.
The problem with the motorhomes is also quite serious.
The inhabitants of the Azohía are outraged at how they take advantage of the services they pay among all.
The neighborhood association considers that they damage the environment, using the showers and footbaths that are on the beach, and even throwing the sewage into the ravine.
They complain about the lack of control of entrances and exits, since they are not asked for any documentation at any time, with the insecurity that this entails.
It should be remembered that Councilman Francisco Torralba, already committed in 2015 to study the case, but still no solution.
In that same year a motion was approved in the Plenary unanimously to apply the current rules of motorhomes, which has not been implemented.
In the neighborhood of San Felix the president of the AAV informs CTSSP that the municipal government still does not meet historical demands, even dated since 2012: lack of lighting, streets without sidewalks and unpaved, cleared pedestrian crossings, abandoned gardens, Shock cleaning promised without doing.
They even confirm that a year ago the councilor of security Francisco Aznar, committed to fix the pedestrian crossings, without getting to fulfill it.
In Campillo de Adentro, the local representatives transferred to the municipal group CTSSP their concern about the lack of lighting and the maintenance of rural roads.
Also on this occasion the complaints had been transferred months ago to the municipal government, without getting any response.
"We understand that the government must prioritize, we also understand the situation of abandonment of all neighborhoods and councils that have not been served for years, but we must know how to manage basic demands and attend to the neighbors, at least answering their requests, and subsequently The contrary is to ignore and disrespect neighbors who are concerned about keeping their neighborhoods and towns in decent conditions, "says Pilar Marcos.
