Cartagena hosts another year the Tango Spring Meeting 2018, which will take place in the Casino from this Friday May 11 until Sunday 13. This meeting has been organized by the Cambalache Tango Cartagena Association with the collaboration of the City Council through the Department of Culture.

The mayor David Martínez Noguera has encouraged citizens to participate in the different activities that have been organized around tango.

"It is a weekend dedicated to tango with which the Cambalache association aims to bring the Cartagena people to this dance as passionate as technique.

That is why they have proposed several workshops and activities open to all those who want to get into this dance or perfect it, "he explained.

The day will begin with a welcome milonga on Friday May 11 at 9:00 pm at the Casino de Cartagena, and continue on Saturday May 12 with the workshop 'Musicality' from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by another workshop from 'Milonga lisa for the track' from 11:45 to 13:15, both taught by the couple of Argentine teachers Pablo and Ludmila, residents of Munich, who will share all the days of the meeting with the Tango Association.

Once the workshops are finished, at 1:15 p.m., there will be a 'Milonga del vermut'.

During the afternoon of Saturday, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, there will be a gala dinner, which will end with a milonga with an exhibition of the teachers.

On Sunday, May 13, the José María Artes square, located next to the Town Hall, will become, starting at one o'clock in the afternoon, the ideal setting to practice the learned dances, after which a meal and a milonga of farewell in the Plaza San Francisco.

All activities will take place at the Casino de Cartagena.
