On the occasion of the International Day of Nursing, which is celebrated worldwide on May 12, the School of Nursing of the Catholic University San Antonio has organized, together with the students of this career in its campus in Cartagena, a series of acts that begin with an exhibition on historical costumes of nurses temporarily transferred by the professional school of the Region and that may be visited until May 10 in the Assembly Hall of the Dolores facilities.
In addition, Nursing students from the UCAM in Cartagena will transfer this exhibition to the city center on the morning of May 8, where they will perform simple outdoor tests such as taking blood pressure and a sample of anatomy models with the that these university students learn more about the human body or a portable arm with which they learn to draw blood.
On the occasion of this celebration, the Catholic University has also scheduled a talk on the role of nursing in blood donation on May 9 at 12:30 in its facilities in Cartagena, in which students will be encouraged to perform practices in the Regional Hemodonation Center.
The next day, throughout the morning, anyone who wishes may donate blood on the campus.
In the same way, the Plaza de Armas of the headquarters of the UCAM in Cartagena will host on the morning of the 14th a sample of emergency vehicles of the Red Cross Regional Assembly, to explain to the university students its operation and encourage them to collaborate as volunteers in this institution.
