MC Cartagena will present tomorrow, during the Plenary Assembly of La Puebla La Aparecida Neighborhood, various initiatives aimed at the recovery and enhancement of the windmill of Las Casicas del Lentiscar, as well as to improve road safety, the identification of villages and rural nuclei and the elaboration of signage on significant buildings of La Aparecida.
During the session, which will start at 9:30 p.m. at the Local Social of La Puebla, the MC Cartagena vowel, Santiago León, will request that the City Council be urged to initiate the necessary procedures to put in value and operation the mill of Las Casicas del Lentiscar, always in collaboration with the Neighborhood Board and the regional administration.
Leon recalled that "The Lentiscar has about thirty windmills and, twenty years ago, the City of Cartagena rehabilitated, with European funds, five mills for its value and operation, being one of them, the mill of The Casicas ".
The vocal of the formation Cartagena has emphasized that "the lack of maintenance in these last eight years has led to a deplorable state and abandonment of its exterior", so it will be urged to its new value and operation, to be promoted a collaboration agreement with the owner of the land where the mill is located so that the necessary investment measures can be executed for its use, its inclusion in the cultural and leisure routes of the municipality, as well as the recovery of the Juan Dairy.
Signage in La Aparecida
MC will also request the transfer of the need for the installation of new signage to improve the signaling of the intersection of the RM F-40 highway, with the RM F-35, and the start of the RM F-53 in La Aparecida.
In the same way, the signaling of the dangerous curve of the F-40 RM will be required, at the point of incorporation of vehicles through Francisco Quevedo Street, where there is currently no vertical signposting or directional warning signs.
Identification of rural villages and nuclei in La Aparecida
In another order of things, MC will ask about the existence or not of an inventory that encompasses all the villages and rural nuclei belonging to La Aparecida.
If this catalog does not exist, the presidency of the Neighborhood Board will be questioned about whether to request the installation of the corresponding nominative panels that identify the name of the nucleus or rural hamlet.
The Aparecida has approximately ten small rural centers scattered around, being their villages sometimes difficult to locate by visitors or basic services such as emergencies or health personnel.
Signage of significant buildings in La Aparecida
Likewise, the MC representative will request that the Neighborhood Board request the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena to prepare informative posters that offer information about the Moruna House and the hermitage of Our Lady of Sorrows of La Aparecida.
The Moruna House, attributed to the architect Víctor Beltrí and whose date of construction dates from 1918, mixes Orientalism with Modernism.
For its part, the hermitage of Our Lady of Sorrows has already accumulated more than two centuries of religious life.
