Carmen Piqueras is the protagonist writer of the Mandarache Regional Guest Author section during this school year and this Wednesday, May 2, she has visited several teaching centers participating in this characteristic reading education project promoted by the Youth Council of the City Council. The author has been selected by the Group Promoter of the project for her recent collection of poems 'Twenty love films and a song by John Lennon' from the Raspabook publishing house in Murcia.
A collection of poems that alludes to visual memory through images reinvented in verses to deal with themes such as love or feminism, universal issues treated intimately from the inner and everyday world of the author.
The writer visited three schools this morning: the IES Isaac Peral, the College La Vaguada and the IES Juan Sebastian Elcano, to meet dozens of students who have read his work and have had the opportunity to comment their impressions with the author .
In this special section of the Mandarache Project, the organization places at the disposal of the school libraries thirty copies of the work chosen under the loan scheme, which are provided to the centers that request it.
After these meetings, Carmen Piqueras will continue her activities in Cartagena with new meetings that will take place at the beginning of the next school year.
