The Annual Meeting of the AEFRH was held this year in the town of Ribadavia (Ourense), on 27 and 28 April.
It was attended by Antonio Madrid Fernández President of the AEFRH, the President of the Federation of Troops and Legions of the Parties of Carthaginians and Romans José Antonio Meca Martínez, who holds the position of Vice President of the AEFRH, accompanied by its Press and Media Officer. The meeting began on the 27th, Friday and lasted until Saturday the 28th, being the first official act on Friday at 8:00 pm, with the reception by the authorities in the Town Hall of this town.
Numerous activities of a cultural nature and a dinner courtesy of the "Festa da Istoria" were offered to the representatives of the Spanish historical celebrations.
It is this recreation one of the most veteran of the Association, of medieval character, puts in value among other things its interesting Judeo-Christian heritage.
The Coordinator of the Festa da Istoria, made an exemplary deployment of material and human resources, pampering at all times the development of the Assembly and offering participants activities that included representation of a Jewish wedding, dance, music, gastronomy ... etc., in an unparalleled historical frame that habitually welcomes its historical recreation in the month of August.
Assembly
Throughout the day of Saturday, and from 8:45 in the morning there were meetings of the Assembly, where, in addition to the ordinary topics of management of the Spanish Association, formalized the incorporation of the new parties that they will become members of the AEFRH.
Information was given on the activities carried out throughout the year, publications, attendance at events, press dossier and management report, photographic exhibitions, as well as the new objectives for the next period of the presidency.
A new promotional video was also presented, made up of fragments of videos of all the parties. The AEFRH holds these meetings in the different locations to which the associated parties belong, with the aim that all members have the opportunity to show the richness and history of each place.
Around a hundred people, belonging to 26 historical recreations that are already part of the AEFRH, participated in this meeting between representatives and companions, who had a parallel program of activities, having an opportunity to know the town and its tourist resources.
In addition, dramatized activities were programmed to disseminate and promote the Festa da Istoria in this national context.
The next Assembly of 2019 will be next year in the town of Mar de las Matas (Teruel).
