The Colombian writer Pilar Quintana Wins Novel Prize VIII "La Mar de Letras" with his rare book collection of dust (11/06/2010)

Colombian writer Pilar Quintana is the winner of the Prix VIII Novela "La Mar de Letras" which each year awards the festival La Mar de Musicas Cartagena.

Quintana has been selected because of its novel rare dust collectors, to be published by Ediciones El Cobre and distributed in Spain, thanks to the prize.

The winning novel was selected by a jury of writers Strawberry Rodrigo, Santiago Roncagliolo and Juan Gabriel Vasquez, Miriam Tey editor and literary critic Ignacio Echevarría.

Pilar Quintana will be first published in Spain, although it has always been acclaimed as one of Colombia's most important young writers in Latin America.
