The Ministry of Industry and Tourism has renewed the ten Q Quality on beaches that were granted last year to the municipality of Cartagena by the high level maintenance and services provided in these sands.
The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, collect these distinctions from the Minister of Industry, Tourism and Trade Miguel Sebastian, on Monday 14 June at 13:30 at the headquarters of the ministry.
The beaches have been awarded the Cala Cortina, Minor Outlying Islands, Playa Honda, Mar de Cristal, Cala del Pino, Cavanna Beach, Playa del Barco Perdido, Galúa Beach, Playa de Levante and Playa de la Gola.
Q Quality Flag awarded by the Institute for Quality Tourism (ICTE), requires not only that having water and sand beaches clean but to control the security services, rescue, entertainment, information, cleaning, control of the fair and hygienic conditions of the beaches and facilities.
These awards join the seven blue flags awarded by the European Foundation of Environmental Education and Blue Flag awarded to beaches Rescue Service.
In blue flags, Cartagena is the fifth city and is situated at the head of the Mediterranean peninsula.
The blue flag will look on the beaches of Sea Glass, Levante-Cabo de Palos, Cala Cortina, Cala del Pino, Islas Menores and Playa Honda San Ginés in La Azohía.
