Colombian writer Pilar Quintana has proven winner VIII Novel Prize La Mar de Letras, which each year awards the festival La Mar de Músicas.

This was announced today the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, who noted that the novel Quintana, rare dust collector, will be published for the first time in Spain by Ediciones El Cobre, distributed throughout Spain by the award.

The winning novel has been selected by a jury of writers Strawberry Rodrigo, Santiago Roncagliolo and Juan Gabriel Vasquez, Miriam Tey editor and literary critic Ignacio Echevarría.

Pilar Quintana, born in Cali (Colombia) in 1972, graduated as a social community, worked as a television scriptwriter and creative in an advertising agency and, after traveling the world, he published his first novel, tickling in the language, 2003.
