The Old Marine Hospital UPCT on the campus of the Sea Wall, on Monday welcomed the entrance examinations to the University of Cartagena headquarters.
1,241 students (141 students more than last year) will be considered after 9 am of the different materials that make up the tests.
In the Region will be a total of 5,547 students.
Testing will continue during the Tuesday and Wednesday.
Students are expected to know the ratings on Thursday 24 June.
The coordinator of the PAU in Cartagena, Juan Ignacio Moreno, said that this year there are important developments in the University Entrance examination. Students should examine four compulsory subjects (previously six): Spanish Language, Language, History of Spain or of Philosophy (to choose) and a fourth course of modality chosen by the student. For students opting for courses with limited places, they are given the opportunity to examine up to four more courses in order to achieve higher scores give them access to the career they want. "
The headquarters of Cartagena welcomes students from secondary schools and high school in the towns of La Union, San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier, Torre Pacheco, Cartagena, Fuente Alamo and Los Alcazares.
