The Local Government Committee approved at its meeting on Monday the proposal of Councillor for Infrastructure and Services, José Vicente Albaladejo, to approve the construction project of bicycle lane and pedestrian route between Cartagena and La Union.
In particular this is the first phase, the stretch between the town of La Union and the place of the Trough, with a length of 2.5 kilometers.
The project, with a budget of one million euros, includes the construction of a bike lane of 2.5 meters wide, a paved pedestrian promenade annex feet in width.
Both fro together, except in the area known as supporters, that for reasons of limited space between the houses and the old road to La Union, the bike path will deviate from the rear of buildings.
This project, which will soon recruitment, is supported by 75 percent by the Autonomous Community of Murcia, in its program to promote mobility
As you may recall the City of La Union is currently running another section of the bike path since leaving the town to the border with the municipality of Cartagena, which will connect with the section that starts to run the session after the summer.
