Local Government Board initially approved this morning the proposed Town Planning Councillor, Joaquín Segado, for specific modification of the Special Plan Management and Protection of the Historic Cartagena (PEOPCHC), for the project International Campus of Excellence UPCT, Cartagena Urban Campus.
As explained by the Town Planning is a project of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and supported by the institutions of the city, and uniting through infrastructure and equipping the two campuses, on the Sea Wall and the Alfonso XIII .
The amendment will affect the facilities of the former Club Santiago, which calsificarán as university building, and the former municipal building in the street Administrative Francisca Armendariz Sr., who also is classified as a university building for the creation of a university residence.
Another aspect of the modification affect the current schools in the Paseo de Alfonso XIII, to be classified as general system.
