THE MUSEALIZACIÃ "N DEL CASTILLO
El Castillo de la Concepción has undergone various transformations throughout history, in classical times, a temple dedicated to Aesculapius, the Islamic and palace in the Christian era with the construction, by Alfonso X, de la Torre del Homenaje , inside the old castle, and other changes made to this day.
In the late seventeenth century, a series of works in the Castillo de la Concepción, to defend the city, built between the ancient and medieval towers around the keep by their sides east and south, stays today have been restored to house the garrison stationed there.

This work involved the excavation of these architectural spaces and the adequacy thereof, and generate new access to the Torre del Homenaje, adding an elevator to be located in the old courtyard and connected to the reception and promoting exit of visitors through the southern part of the new rooms.
