The largest of the Albujón have seen today met their demands to have a place with enough space to develop their activities.
The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by the Social Care council, Antonio Calderon, and Decentralization, Nicholas Angel Bernal, has opened new facilities in more than 100 square meters.
The new clubhouse is distributed in a single plant of about 100 square meters.
It has a multipurpose room, office and two bathrooms.
The building has been given free to the City by the residents of a local cooperative, for use as public funding.
The Department of Social Services has covered the costs of refurbishment of the premises, providing it with furniture, interior woodwork and air conditioning.
The investment was around 20,000 euros.
The mayor stressed that the Albujón is an example for their growth and development experienced.
Reported that in recent years has opened a new health center, a nursery, this social club and sports hall, which is now almost complete.
Moreover, these will add up the road infrastructure improvements, renovation of sidewalks and lighting.
All this has led to a budget amounting to 3,450,000 euros.
The beneficiaries of these facilities will be the approximately 200 members comprising the Senior Citizens club in the town. In them, through the Department of Social Services, will be held talks, craft workshops, healthy aging programs, with memory stimulation, physiotherapy and gerontogimnasia, besides the usual recreational activities for leisure.
