On May 31 ended on Computer Course Senior Level II, organized within the program over April to June, Municipal Institute of Social Services.
This course was started last April 12 where they have involving 12 older people from clubs in our town, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:00 hours in the computer room of the building of the Miraculous.
Throughout the month of June will also be closed 14 other workshops and courses for over 60 years of our town.
Among them, three computer courses and energetic gymnastics, training of memory, healthy aging, painting, chess, maintenance and home repairs, esparto, history and attractions of the city and the development of techniques for center table.
This program of activities began last April with the course of developing techniques for centerpieces, we considered the color and materials selection criteria, useful tools, techniques and procedures for conducting and Adornments ornamentation and study of standards of decoration in the table according to the protocol.
Among the objectives pursued in the Major Program of the City of Cartagena through these courses is to encourage the active participation of older people so that they occupy their free time creatively and orderly develop their personal skills, fostering the social and cultural exchange, prevent social isolation and loneliness, improve their quality of life, creating opportunities for participation and socio-cultural activities appropriate to their demands and needs.
