The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, along with the Minister of Education, Constantine Sotoca have been responsible for the conference opened this morning on Training, organized by the IES Polytechnic and the Ministry, with the aim of bringing the reality of the future labor youth, the future that goes through this branch of education.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the mayor has highlighted the need for vocational training, especially in these times when jobs are scarce and expertise in training is essential to then hold a job.
Barreiro recalled that since the City of Cartagena work is done in close collaboration with the region and stressed that since LaAgencia Local Development and Employment (ALDE), during the past year, were formed about 500 youth in the municipality.
For its part, Sotoca considers that these days provide an opportunity to reflect on the convergence of vocational training, universities and companies, which are three elements whose connection is essential.
Sotoca Constantino believes that to get out of the economic crisis is to strengthen competitiveness and productivity of our businesses.
Therefore, the Minister stressed that the best way to do this is by way of qualification of workers.
The Minister stressed, finally, this year vocational trainingand account with 14,500 students enrolled in the region, ie 10% more than last year, and the ending, about 70 percent get a job being the most popular branches of Health and Education.
CONFERENCE ON VOCATIONAL TRAINING
The purpose of this meeting is to hear first hand the policies and actions in the integration of vocational training offers in the area of the Autonomous Community.

It also provides an overview of vocational training as real as possible, coming from business, labor and academic.
