Councillor for Employment, Ruth Maria Collado, accompanied by the Director of the Agency of Local Development and Employment, Francisco García-Valenzuela, moved last week to the Occupational Center Quarry, part of the IMAS, to know in situ the work being developing the 32 students working in the employment workshop Care Unit, sponsored by ADLE.
Together with the staff responsible for the school, visited all of the facilities and learned about the high degree of satisfaction with the various activities within their work practice, workers do the students of this workshop, which began in December 2009 and is aimed at training unemployed persons as assistants health and social care to dependent people in social institutions, including their subsequent job placement.
Municipal officials emphasized the good level of understanding that has been with the center since the beginning and the excellent, comprehensive professional practice developed in it.
As a climax to the visit, attended the performance of the play Noises Performance, performed by the Limelight Theatre Workshop, composed of residents of the center and has worked Employment Workshop Care Unit.
Employment Workshop Care Unit is funded by the Agency of Local Development and Employment of Cartagena, the Regional Employment Service and Training of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and the European Union through the European Social Fund.
The development of practical work in the quarries Occupational Center was made possible by the signing of a cooperation agreement between the ADLE and the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration, through the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS).
