The Technical University of Cartagena has organized to celebrate the Internet Day, celebrated on Monday May 17, a student left of the courtyard of the Old Barracks Seamanship Instruction (CIM).
The students of the UPCT, with the collaboration of the Student Council and the Student House are using social networks like Facebook Tuenti or to make an appointment at two pm in the campus courtyard.
In just two days and have confirmed their attendance at the event over three hundred students and invitations are spread among all students by making it more likely that the number of participants multiply in the coming hours.
The Technical University of Cartagena will use this event to present their profiles on social networks and Facebook Tuenti.
Photographs of the event will be posted in areas designated for that purpose.

With this stay, the vice-rectors of New Technologies and students joined in the celebration of the Internet, a journey that takes place in conjunction with World Telecommunication and Information Society.

In addition to stand still, the UPCT has organized a virtual open day aimed at high school students who are on the course prior to admission to the University.
The Vice-Rector of New Technologies has created a portal that students can access from the computer classrooms of their schools with extensive information about admission procedures, range of courses, facilities and other services available to the university.
Students also provide a forum on-line that will work from eight in the morning to three in the afternoon and where they can raise any questions they have.

Internet Day is a project sponsored by the Association of Internet users began to be held in 2005 and aims to raise awareness of the possibilities offered by new technologies to improve the living standards of citizens.
