The Governing Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has unanimously approved the signing of an agreement with the University of Murcia to go together to the call Campus of Excellence 2010 with a new project, the Mare Nostrum Campus 37/38.

Mare Nostrum Campus project 37/38 is a unique project, to and from the Mediterranean, aimed at creating an area of international excellence in the southeast of Spain and with the participation of public research and innovation in the Region of Murcia and business organizations and technology centers.

A project created with the aim of adding to educational institutions, research or innovation in southeastern Spain.

UPCT last year received a quality award in the call Campus of Excellence awarded by the Ministry of Education with the recommendation that a new project with the University of Murcia, inclusive and regional cohesion, increase profits dramatically derivatives execution and, consequently, the chances of receiving the distinction of Campus of Excellence in the 2010 edition.
