Stories, comedies, musicals, are the genres of the 13 plays that are being rendered from 3 to May 13 at the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy within the XXII School Theatre Festival organized by the Department of Education of the City Council Cartagena.
In the representation of these works involved a total de288 school children from 12 schools (10 infant and primary schools and 2 special education centers) who have prepared themselves as actors, and public assistance than 4,300 students, more than one thirty schools.
This event is included in the program Living the Theatre Department of Education as one of the more established and as noted Josefa Maroto, is a commitment to integrate artistic aspects that contribute to improving the comprehensive education of our young people with issues innovative methodology and the involvement of these centers on improving the quality of teaching.
This edition of the also includes important new features such recognition and encouragement to the participating schools, for which it has created elGalardón Braulio, who is the mascot of certamenelaborada ceramic, and shall distinguish three of the thirteen plays performed.
There will be a Braulio to Set Design Award 2010, another for Quality Arts 2010 and a third to the play 2010.
Municipal technicians daily valued each of the plays performed and issued its ruling on the closure which will present the awards.
Another novelty is the creation of a blog on the City website, www.cartagena.es/22muestra_teatroescolar/, a forum whose objective is to exchange information and views with all the friends of the theater, whose contributions serve to improve for future editions of the sample.

A final innovation is to support this issue with an external animation to get young viewers each performance, with the staging of Braulio, the pet who has become during these eleven days on a real character.
The plays are presented in the morning and, mostly, double session, being the first at 10.00 and lasegunda meeting at 11.30 am.
The inauguration, on May 3, was in charge of Pixie obraEl Spelling, who accounted for 27 pupils aged between 8 and 9, the public school Virgen del Carmen, and close on May 13 with the play The Prince and the Dragon, by students of The Asomada, followed by the closure of the Exhibition.
The variety of this exhibition, with works of the Brothers Grimm, Thomas Meehhan, Lope de Rueda and Shakespeare set the tender of the sample to be present in a number of authors and playwrights of all time.
Remember that the goal of the exhibition is not only to encourage theatrical work merely artistic, but also motivate the group.
Therefore, all drama groups and actors-school will receive a gift as a souvenir of their participation on the day of closing.
