The Director General of Transport and Ports, the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, Carmen Sandoval, today presented the president of the Foundation Shop Asylum, Francisco Martinez, a vehicle adapted to transport the disabled, funded 10,856 euros by the regional government.
"Through the regional government grants awarded each year to ensure the mobility of people with disabilities, aid for the purchase of vehicles adapted to those entities that meet the needs and ensure the welfare of those most in need," said the CEO.
The Haven Foundation Store San Pedro, founded in Cartagena in 1894, is a non-profit that owns the shelter Tower Nazareth Home, located in the neighborhood of Cartagena de Santa Ana, dedicated to the care of patients HIV and where health is monitored, and appropriate drug medical residents.
"With this new vehicle, the current residents of Torre Hogar Nazareth may satisfy their mobility needs, with adequate quality and safety, enabling them to participate in activities, excursions and social integration-oriented," he said Sandoval.
