Citizens alert that complaints about the partisan use of the social networks of the Neighborhood Boards have not ceased (13/03/2018)

- The spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, recalls that the government has repeatedly stated that it is preparing a regulation on the rules for the use of social networks since the end of 2016, "at this rate the legislature will end without us knowing the rules to follow to guarantee the equanimity and neutrality of these official communication channels "

Faced with new complaints about the misuse of social networks by some Neighborhood Boards, the Municipal Citizens Group in Cartagena will ask at the next plenary for the draft on the rules of use of social networks that the Government of Cartagena claims to be developing since the end of 2016.

Councilman Security, Francisco Aznar, said in September 2017 that the computer service Data Processing Center had developed in 2016 a regulation of use and that "at this time" was being shared with other services of the City for review and rectification , "This happened almost six months ago, and I think there has been enough time to pass this procedure to the municipal groups, take it to the Government Board, and finally pass it through the municipal Plenary."

"We can not continue being so desperately slow with every thing we undertake, we are talking about a regulation that was designed at the end of 2016, a year and a half ago," lamented Manuel Padín, who insists that "at this rate, we will know the rules that safeguard the objectivity and equanimity of official information in social networks after the legislature is over ".

"This is neither transparency nor nothing," said Padín.

"The complaints of our members about the partisan use of Facebook pages and Twitter of their respective populations have not stopped in all this time, the last of these criticisms comes from our representative in Alumbres who has taken an initiative to his House to ask that the Facebook page of its Board is no longer called "Alumbres Neighborhood Board" and is renamed "Alumbres Neighborhood Board, PSOE + MC Government Team", or "Alumbres Neighborhood Board, PSOE Government Team", because feels represented, "explained Manuel Padín.

For its part, the vocal of Cs in Alumbres, María Isabel Rojo, has criticized the sectarian use of this unofficial page in which not even the calls for plenary sessions, the minutes of the same, or any other information useful for neighbors of his deputation, "they are only used to promote their party," he says.

Motion in Alumbres to gain transparency

Regulate the use of the social networks of Alumbres, is one of the points of a motion of orange training that aims to increase transparency in the economic management of this Board.

The initiative of the civic member seeks that the president of the Board will present quarterly the status of the accounts of all the chapters of the assigned budget item in all existing communication channels (bulletin board, OMITA, social networks ...).

Another point of the proposal calls for establishing as a priority compliance with neighborhood agreements that are not executed before investing in other matters, which are not urgent.
