Firefighters rescue a man and a woman after falling with a quad on an embankment on the Galifa Water Path (08/12/2017)

Firemen of the Service of Fire and Rescue Extinction (SEIS) of the City of Cartagena rescued this afternoon a man of 43 years and a woman of 35, who had fallen with a quad on a two-meter high embankment on the Water Trail , which links Galifa with La Muela.

The woman was wounded with an open fracture of the tibia and fibula and had to be sedated for rescue, while the man had various blows and bruises.

The event was recorded about a quarter to four in the afternoon at the site of the old fountain road.

One call gave notice of the accident to the Emergency Coordination Center, 112, assuring that the woman could not move.

They quickly moved to the firefighters of the City of Cartagena, along with members of Civil Protection, a patrol of the Civil Guard and a Mobile Emergency Unit of the Emergency Management and Sanitary Emergencies 061.

After the rescue by the firemen, the two wounded were taken by ambulance to the General Hospital of Santa Lucía.
