On the occasion of the 11th edition of the charity event "Cartagena por la Caridad", the Music Unit of the General Air Academy will offer an extraordinary concert for the benefit of the House of Elders of the Little Sisters of the Poor and the Aid and Research Association of Personality Disorders in Cartagena, Comarca and Mar Menor, this Saturday 21 October at 19:00 hours.
Tickets to 10 and 5 euros.
The origins of the Music Unit of the General Air Academy go back to the creation of Air Force Music between the years 1940 and 1943. Since its creation, this Music Unit has had as its main purpose, to offer musician support / military to the Squad of students and troops, in the diverse activities of the military field, such as parades, flag jura, deliveries of dispatches and surrender of honors to national and foreign authorities.
Parallel to its participation in the military academic ceremonial, the Music Unit of the General Air Academy has been throughout its more than half century of history, requested by different civil institutions for diverse cultural acts.
With more than a thousand concerts to its credit, made in different national and international stages and with a wide repertoire, the Music Unit of the General Air Academy has achieved great critical and public success thanks to the technical quality and expressive sensitivity offered in their concerts and that will return to demonstrate in the scene of the Batel, in this case under the direction of the Captain Musician D. Jose Manuel Castello Sánchez.
