Doors opened in Cartagena Port of Cultures and free bus during the festive Friday of Carthaginians and Romans (21/09/2017)

Carthaginians and Romans faces the final stretch of its first edition after the declaration of international tourist interest with numerous activities on the festive day in the town, this Friday 22 September.

Thus, Cartagena Puerto de Culturas will offer a day of open doors so that festeros, cartageneros and visitors can visit its facilities and deposits and, in addition, all bus lines will be free on Thursday and Friday.

This measure, framed in the festivities within the program designed to mark the Day of Mobility, joins the free bus line that connects the festive camp with the city center.

Thus, line M-17 II operates weekdays from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday it does so until 3:00 p.m., with a frequency of 15 minutes each departure.

The bus leaves Prolongación Angel Bruna, next to the Mandarache, and will cross the streets Ángel Bruna, Serreta, Gisbert, Alfonso XII, Real, Plaza of Spain, Alameda San Antón, Jorge Juan and Plaza Severo Ochoa.

With respect to the initiative of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, another year repeats the day of open doors, which this year falls on the holiday of the municipality, this Friday, where all the centers of the consortium can be entered free of charge except the Tourist Bus, the Catamaran and the Panoramic Elevator.

In this way, those interested can freely access the Museum of the Roman Theater, Augusteum, Decumano, the Punic Wall, the House of Fortune, the Civil War Refuges and the Castle of the Conception.

In addition, during all these days, the party goers dressed in their corresponding costumes, will have free entry in these centers of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.

The events do not stop at this weekend either.

Thus, on Friday will begin the day with the sea battle in the dock of the Port, at 10:45 p.m., and in the afternoon, at 6 p.m., there will be one of the main and most spectacular events of the fiestas, the battle for conquest of Qart Hadast, in which hundreds of festeros represent the taking of Rome of the city from the hands of the general Scipio.

The act will have, as usual, specialists and special effects that will give a more realistic representation.

Then, at 20.15 hours, the Roman Law proclamation and the victory parade will take place in the Plaza del Palacio Consistorial, starting at 8.30 p.m. until the festive camp.

Already at night, the Parque Torres Auditorium hosts the concert 'Los 40 Trending On Stage', which will bring the port city to the dj of Los 40 Principales Arturo Paniagua together with the indie groups Nunatak, Jacobo Serra and León Benavente.

Access will be free with invitation, which can be collected at the facilities of Cadena Ser Cartagena and El Corte Inglés.

Already on Saturday, September 23, will pay homage to those killed in the battle in the monument of Torreciega at 12.00 p.m.

at 13.30 hours, will take place the gladiatorial Munera in the Plaza Juan XXIII.

Already in the afternoon, around 7 pm, the general parade of Troops and Legions will begin, which will tour the city center from the Town Hall Square to Camp Festero.

On Sunday, the last day of festivities, a dinner of coexistence is scheduled between all the troops and legions in Camp Festero that will begin at 20.30.

At 22.00 hours will be the extinguishing of the sacred fire and to finish the acts, there will be a castle of fireworks at 22.30 hours from the esplanade of Cartagonova.
