Fourteen people rescued on the beaches of Cartagena when bathed with red flag (16/08/2017)

Yesterday afternoon, on the beach of Entremares, beaches of Galúa and Las Amoladeras, the rescuers who guarded the area had to go to the rescue of several bathers who disobeyed the bath ban indicated with red flag throughout the day.

One of the most rescuing rescues occurred in the Playa de Entremares, where a human chain was formed by the bathers who were in the area to collaborate with the security and emergency bodies, and to be able to rescue four bathers who could not return to the Coast due to strong currents and intense waves.

None of the rescuers had to be transferred to a health center, although two of them had to receive medical treatment, having to administer oxygen.

Thanks to the rapid intervention of the rescuers, in collaboration with the Local Police of Cartagena it was possible to rescue ten other people who, in the same beach, in the Amoladeras and the Beach of Galúa, also entered the sea recklessly and could not Return to the coast.

Fortunately there were no mortal victims on the beaches of the Cartagena coast.

From Local Police of Cartagena the importance is remembered on the respect of the flags that indicate the state of the beaches.

In addition to the sanctions can amount to € 1500, this imprudence can pose a serious danger to both life itself and rescue services.
