La Azohia Playas Solidaria Travesía will raise funds for the start-up of a headquarters in Cartagena for DGenes (20/07/2017)

On August 6 the beach of San Ginés will host the first Solidarity Crossing Beaches of La Azohía, which will raise funds for the association D'Genes, in order to launch a headquarters of the association that will offer services and support to people with Rare diseases.

This has been announced by the Councilor for Sports of Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, who has been accompanied during the presentation of the test by the director general of Sports of the Region of Murcia, Alonso Gomez;

The security coordinator of the event, M.ª Ángeles Díaz;

The secretary of the test, Pedro Manuel Velasco, and the representative of D'Genes, Miguel Angel Ruiz.

The test, which will start at 10.00 hours as announced by the Councilor for Sports, will have three exits, so that there will be one of 600 meters at that time for the categories prebenjamín, benjamín and fry;

At 10:30 am, the non-competitive popular test of 100 meters of solidarity will begin, and at 11:00 hours, the rest of categories will participate, with a 1,500 meter run.

The deadline for registration, with a limit of 300 seats, is open until 31 July on the website Exit Line.

The price of the participation in this trip is 15 euros, with the possibility of paying 3 euros solidarity for the tasting of paella that will take place after the trophies delivery, made by the association Apex.

With this test, stressed Ricardo Segado, "we promote this sport as well as sporting events in the west of the municipality of Cartagena."

In this line has been expressed the Director General of Sports, who has very positively valued this initiative that allows to energize the area of ​​La Azohía while "we will appeal to society about this organization" by allowing through this event to give Know the D'Genes association, its needs and its activities.

"It is a further test of solidarity and affection of people who work for something", he stressed, while showing his pride to be able to collaborate, through the general direction of Sports, in the implementation of this test.

For its part, the security coordinator of the crossing thanked on behalf of the organization the support they have received from the organizing companies, in addition to the City of Cartagena and the Autonomous Community.

Thus, has described the test as "the crossing of the unit", something in which Velasco has shown agreement.

The collection, Díaz recalled, will be aimed at setting up an association headquarters in Cartagena, which will allow people with infrequent diseases in Cartagena and its Region to receive the necessary services without having to travel to Totana, where Is the headquarters of D'Genes.

Ruiz has expressed his gratitude for the commitment that, for some time, has been made by the City of Cartagena for the help of people with rare diseases.

This first solidarity journey is organized by D'Genes, in collaboration with the Department of Sports of Cartagena, the general direction of sports of the Autonomous Community and the association of residents of La Azohía.
