Infrastructure concludes the weed removal works in the urban section of Benipila with the collection of 1,000 tons (16/09/2020)

| Three trucks, two shovels and a shredder have been working for two weeks | The Cartagena City Council, through the Department of Infrastructures, completed the cleaning, improvement and conditioning tasks of the urban section of the Rambla de Benipila, between the Rambla school and the bridge that gives access to the Navantia shipyards, near from its mouth of the Algameca.The councilor of the Area, María Casajús explained that "municipal workers have removed a total of 1,000 tons of weeds, canes and shrubs known as gandules.

In the tasks that have been developed during the last two weeks, three trucks, two shovels and a brush cutter.

"The action is part of the cleaning of the riverbeds of the ramblas in its urban sections, which correspond to the City Council, in order to avoid retentions and dragging with a view to the beginning of the rainy season.Within these actions, municipal workers have been working since this week to clean the drainage canal located next to the La Palma institute, where two shovels have been used and are currently finishing with the manual removal of weeds.
