Furthermore, as usual, the winning text of this new edition of the prestigious international poetry prize will be published by the Pre-Textos publishing house.The contest, born in 1986, aims to promote literary creation, spread the values ??of poetry, promote the dissemination of works and authors, and reclaim the memory of Antonio Oliver, a poet committed to his time and his city, whose work It has been recognized as one of the most outstanding of its time.This 2020 the XXXIV edition of this award is celebrated, which has achieved international projection due to its quality and which is characterized by rigor and freedom of judgment, and contributes, in turn, to the participation of hundreds of poets who send their poetry books from anywhere on the planet.The award, whose original submission deadline will end on October 16, has a prestigious jury with renowned authors such as Luis Alberto de Cuenca, Eloy Sánchez Rosillo, Blanca Andréu, Vicente Gallego and Manuel Ramírez, as well as the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the director of the Popular University, José Macián, who will act as secretary.The poetry books, as indicated in the rules, must be sent to the Popular University of Cartagena, at Calle Jacinto Benavente, 7, 1st floor, Cartagena, indicating in the envelope 'Antonio Oliver Belmás International Poetry Prize'.The jury's decision, which will be final, will be announced between November 16 and 20, 2020.
