Dozens of volunteers join the City Council to help those affected by the floods (15/09/2019)

More than 60 volunteers have joined this morning to municipal employees who work in cleaning the areas affected by floods in Los Urrutias and Los Nietos.

Volunteers, coordinated by municipal officials, have been divided into groups to help families remove items affected by water and mud from their homes.

In addition, they have participated in cleaning work in the most affected homes.

For this they have received the support of personnel of the departments of Infrastructure and Sports, who have provided them with materials to carry out the cleaning and removal of sludge.

The councilors of Decentralization and Sports, Diego Ortega, and Tourism, Cristina Pérez, have coordinated the teams deployed by Los Nietos and Los Urrutias, respectively.

The City Council has intensified the cleaning operation in the affected areas and the Firefighters have continued to shrink water from basements and garages, mainly in Los Nietos.

VOLUNTEER HELP
