The municipal government supervises the recovery work in the areas most affected by the cold drop (14/09/2019)

The Municipal Government of the City of Cartagena has dedicated Saturday morning to supervise the work that personnel of the municipal brigades and concessionaires have been carrying out to recover normalcy in the areas most affected by the last cold drop, especially on the coast of the Mar Menor and the north and west areas of the municipality.

The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has been in La Aljorra and in the councils of La Magdalena and Galifa, in the northern and western areas of the municipality;

while the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, and the Councilor for Social Services, Mercedes Garcia, have visited the towns of Los Urrutias, Punta Brava and Los Nietos.

In La Aljorra, the mayor has supervised the cleaning of both the Rambla riverbed and the road that connects with Fuente Álamo.

In the western zone, it has been verified that normality was restored on rural roads, as some homes had been held incommunicado due to dragging and landslides.

For their part, Noelia Arroyo and Mercedes García have been able to verify how municipal and concessionaire operators worked hard to clean the muddy streets and clear the promenades of everything that had brought the flood to the Mar Menor.

Also how they collaborated with the neighbors to take out household goods that have become unusable.
