PP, PSOE and Cs have reached an agreement to govern in the municipality of Cartagena for the next four years, forming a government team of concentration in which there will be councilors of the three parties and will have as mayor Ana Belén Castejón (PSOE ), during the first two years, and Noelia Arroyo (PP), the other two.

After the plenum of the three candidates, Noelia Arroyo, Ana Belén Castejón and Manuel Padín have appeared before the media.

Ana Belén Castejón has pointed out that this is a commitment of "stability and good governance", also marked, according to the mayor, by the "responsibility, courage and generosity in this agreement for the next four years, showing the citizens that we are capable to take projects forward and ensure the development of the second most important city in the region, and we will do so with all the Administrations, not blocking or isolating the city from the rest of Spain and the region. "

For its part, the councilor of the Popular Party, Noelia Arroyo, recalled that the PP offered from the outset to reach a "stability pact for Cartagena, avoiding populisms or that slow down the projects that are being promoted today , because, independently of ideologies, it is more what unites us than those that divide us ".

In addition, Arroyo assured that "there will be no power distribution, but a strong government, of consensus and for the four years, in which more for institutional reasons than for a question of power, will be two years mayor Ana Belén Castejón, so that a continuity and coherence, and the other two years will be me, with a fundamental role of Citizens ".

The role of Citizens explained the mayor Manuel Padin, who has appreciated the generosity of PP and PSOE to understand the good of the city "I feel enormously proud because there will be realities for Cartagena, there is a serious government and four years of stability."

From MC Cartagena, the mayor José López pointed out for his part after the plenary session that they will maintain their objective of serving the city, in this case from the opposition, "what happened today was to be expected, but we worked for the neighbors and for the neighbors, that is our commitment, we will work from the opposition to Cartagena. "

The details and terms of this agreement between PP, PSOE and Citizens will be determined during the next few days, after which the structure and composition of the new government team will be known.
