The six finalists in the piano mode of the twenty-second edition of the Regional Contest Between Strings and Metals made us live on April 25 a magical afternoon, leaving us moments of very high interpretive quality, so the members of the jury had it quite complicated to choose between so much level the winners that will be made public in the Closing Ceremony and Awards Ceremony, in the El Batel Auditorium, next May 17th.
The jury on this occasion was composed of:
Mariano Adolfo Lazáry Manjón: Representative of the Neapolitan Piano School, he trained with the maestro Antonio de Raco in Argentina.
Then he perfected himself in Italy, England and already in Spain with Iván Cítera.
He has been awarded in more than ten international competitions.
He has taught at the Giuseppe Verdi School of Music in Venice, the Città di Roma Conservatory, the Murcia Conservatory and now the Conservatory of Cartagena.
He has offered advanced courses with directors such as Türing Bräm and Miquel Rodrigo.
He has performed in large venues around the world such as Teatro Colón, Palazzo Pisani, Piccadilly's Saint James Church and on radio and television in several countries.
María Gertrudis Vicente Marín: She has worked as a piano accompanist since 2007 at the Conservatorio de Molina de Segura, Conservatory of Music of Murcia and currently at the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena.
María Estrella Romero Jiménez: Piano teacher, accompanist pianist and head of the Piano Department of the Professional Conservatory "Narciso Yepes" of Lorca.
Master's Degree in Musical Heritage by the University of Granada.
Higher studies at the Superior Conservatory "Victoria Eugenia" in Granada and at the "Royal Conservatory of Music" in Brussels (Belgium).
For several seasons he has collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia.
Member of the piano duo "Tempora Piano Duo".
