One mayoral side asks citizens to collaborate to detect dangerous wells and boreholes (14/03/2019)

The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has dictated a faction in which she recalled the obligation of the owners to keep the wells and wells in a safe condition and has requested citizen collaboration to be communicated to the City Council and the Hydrographic Confederation of the Safe (CHS) the existence of this type of abandoned or dangerous facilities.

The purpose of the camp is to facilitate the detection and sealing of abandoned wells to provide them with the necessary safety conditions.

To this end, citizens are provided with telephone numbers and emails where they can give an account of their location and status, either through the Local Police services of the City of Cartagena on 968 128877 or at the email policia.local @;

or through the CHS itself through whatsapp in 679 448 050 or in the email

The mayor recalled that all wells and probes must be properly marked, and equipped with the necessary safety measures to prevent the fall of people and animals in the manner determined by the competent administration based on their location and characteristics;

and that although their security is an obligation of owners and owners, moral responsibility belongs to all citizens, applying common sense and collaborating to avoid access to them and warning of their existence so that accidents do not occur.
