Equality launches a charity agenda for children victims of gender violence (13/12/2018)

The Department of Equality has launched for sale a solidarity agenda, whose full benefits will be allocated to the association 'I want to grow', which serves children victims of gender violence.

The yearbook has been put on sale for 10 euros.

Councilman Equality, David Martinez, along with the poet, Julia Monero, have explained this charity project.

Moreno is the author of the texts of the agenda, which in turn has been illustrated and designed by Yolanda Noguera.

Councilman Equality explained that it is a project full of hope, on the one hand that of the poet Julia Monero "who has made some beautiful verses to be with us throughout 2019 in this agenda."

On the other hand, that of the designer, Yolanda Noguera, "who has illustrated it with some beautiful, handmade drawings".

And finally, the illusion of some workers of the Department of Equality, "who thought, from the first moment they saw this project, that with him we could help many victims of gender violence."

The solidarity yearbook has been put up for sale for 10 euros, which will go entirely to the association 'I want to grow', "which works with the sons and daughters of women who have suffered sexist violence," said Martinez.

The association has been working for the children of the Region for 10 years, and in Cartagena they attend every week at the headquarters of the Department of Equality, based in the building of La Milagrosa.

Both the poet and the designer have offered their work, altruistically, to help the children.

Moreno has clarified that not only is an agenda with 12 months, 12 poems and 12 illustrations, "in the agenda there is much more, there is, as the Councilman said, a lot of hope, a lot of work and a lot of love", clarified the writer of the verses.

For Julia Monero, poetry is a tool that can be used for many things, including awareness.

"I think poetry can make us see some feelings and emotions that we have, but sometimes we are not able to see.

In a way, I have treated gender violence and children who suffer some kind of gender violence to raise awareness, to everyone a little, that children are the world, that they are the future and that we have to take care of them " , Moreno has concluded.

Those interested in contributing their bit to help the sons and daughters of women who have suffered sexist violence can acquire this agenda by going to the Department of Equality, located on Calle Sor Francisca Armendariz s / n.

Building of the Miraculous second floor.
