José Alcaraz's collection of poems, 'Vino para los náufragos' will be presented next Tuesday, October 9, within the program 'Leer, pensar, imaginar', by the Department of Culture

José Alcaraz won, with 'Vino para los náufragos', the XI Antonio Gala Poetry Prize, awarded by the City Council of Alhaurín el Grande.

The act of 'Reading, thinking, imagining' will have the presence of the poet himself and the presentation will be borne by Esther Baeza, responsible for the programming of the Ficcmoteca.

In the words of the jury, composed of Antonio Garrido Moraga, Antonio Hernandez, Francisco Ruiz Noguera and Manuel Salinas, it is a collection of absolute and total quality, a reflection on the self and on the word as universal themes, the man versus the world and its way of being in it.

Throughout the book three registers are distinguished: the first one, of expansive poetry;

the second, of colloquial tone;

and the third, of aphoristic, meditative and philosophical character.

In short, a work of deep introspection but also of light and happiness.
