More than 1,000 people are summoned to the exams for nautical qualifications held this Sunday in Cartagena (17/06/2018)

Last year a total of 2,917 applicants for these exams were presented in the Region

A total of 1,063 people are registered to participate today in the second round of the year of theoretical exams for obtaining nautical titles, organized by the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure.

This call is the busiest of all those held so far in Cartagena.

In 2017 the number of applicants was 866, in 2016 800, and 750 in 2015.

These exams will certify the technical knowledge of the candidates for the management of different boats and that allow obtaining the titles of yacht captain, yacht skipper, recreational craft skipper, basic navigation pattern and nautical motor boat A.

The General Director of Transport, Coasts and Ports, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, who supervised these tests carried out in the Campus of the Muralla del Mar of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, explained that these exams "are carried out for the fourth year. consecutive in the port city, with the aim of facilitating citizens access to this type of qualifications ".

Diez de Revenga highlighted "the great interest that these nautical degrees arouse".

Proof of this, he added, "is that the number of registered in 2017 amounted to 2,327."

The title of pleasure boats was the most demanded, followed by the pattern for basic navigation and the pattern yacht.

Results and next call

The provisional lists of notes will be published on the web page http://nautica.carm.es, where the qualification will be able to be consulted, through the NIF of the interested party, as 'apt' or 'unfit';

and on the bulletin board of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure, located in Plaza Santoña, 6, Murcia.

The applicants will have a period of five days, counted from the following one to the publication of the provisional notes, to present in writing the claims that they consider appropriate.

The general director announced that the celebration of the next call is scheduled for November 18, and will be the last ordinary session of the year of theoretical examinations for the government of pleasure boats.

To the three ordinary calls are added two extraordinary for the title of PER to be held at the Popular University of Lorca, and the Diving Center of the Navy (Cartagena), the latter intended for students of the Universities of Murcia and Polytechnic from Cartagena.
